How to Use It
Start by showing a simple, engaging image to the whole class.

  1. Guide Observation
Ask students to look closely and describe what they notice. Little details matter!

  2. Ask “Who or What?”
Prompt students to name the main subject(s) in the picture.
➤ Who is in the picture?
    ➤ What do you see?

  3. Ask “What Are They Doing?”
    Help students describe the action.
➤ What is the person/animal/object doing?
    ➤ How do you know?

  4. Write the Sentence Together
You (the teacher) scribe the sentence using their ideas. Talk through it as you write!

  5. Read It Aloud
Read the sentence together as a class. Rereading helps with fluency and ownership.

Great For:

  • Morning message routines

  • Whole-group literacy lessons

  • Writing warm-ups

  • Language support for ELLs

  • Introducing subject + predicate structure
