Phoneme Grapheme Mapping: Stamp it Write it

$3.00

Phoneme-grapheme mapping is a physical way in which to represent the relationship between the phonemes and graphemes. Theses maps allow the student to connect the graphemes (letters) to the phonemes (sounds).

Research shows that helping students connect the two is a crucial step in building a strong phonics foundation.

Making it fun is a BONUS! Who doesn't love a good stamp? In this activity students practice phoneme grapheme mapping by stamping the phoneme (sound) and then writing the corresponding grapheme (letter).

How to Use This Resource:

Print the “stamp it write it” sheet that follows the phonics skill you want to practice. Laminate or place in a sheet protector. Place in a station bin with mini erasers, chips or expo markers.

Ask students to say the picture, tap or use chips to mark the sounds, and then write the corresponding letters (word) on the dotted lines.
