Phoneme grapheme mapping is Phoneme-grapheme

mapping is a physical way in which to represent the

relationship between the phonemes and graphemes. Theses maps allow the student to connect the graphemes (letters) to the phonemes (sounds). Research shows that

helping students connect the two is a crucial step in

building a strong phonics foundation.

Making it fun is a BONUS! Who doesn't love a good

stamp? In this activity students practice phoneme grapheme mapping by stamping the phoneme (sound) and

then writing the corresponding grapheme (letter).
