Why was this resource created? 

❓ I don't know about you, but over the years, I have tried to mix and match phonics activities that will best support my students. Most of the time, the curriculum I am using just does not cover everything that I need it to. The problem is that there are so MANY things out there, that we can easily get overwhelmed with what to use. Phonics instruction should be explicit and systematic (that's what research tells us) but it should also be CONSISTENT.

🌟 That's exactly why I created these phonics lesson plans and accompanying activities aligned to science of reading research and best practices. Our ultimate goal when we sit down to do a phonics lesson is to TEACH our students how to decode. This is why the activities we do should be CONSISTENT. We don't want our students to have to learn a new game or exercise every time they come to our table (although games on the occasion are a must). We want them to know exactly what to expect so they can focus all of their brain power on learning HOW to read. That's why I am so passionate about the lessons shared in this science of reading phonics kit I am about to share with you! The Phonics Lesson plans are EXPLICIT... SYSTEMATIC... and the activities are consistent from week to week.
